Your day at the stadium

In Östersund, we are happy that the traditional season premiere will take place in the Winter City. We want, along with all of you who come to the stadium, to make the world’s most exciting sport into a party that will make a mark on the rest of the season.

Our host Martin Kjellerstedt gets going two hours before the start.
Our entertainment starts two hours before the first competitor gets going. Why? So that your time at the stadium is an all-round fantastic experience.
The entertainment finishes at least two hours after the last competitor crosses the finishing line. Why? Because our restaurant and exhibition area are such amazing fun.

Our host, as in previous years, is Martin Kjellerstedt and his Golden Girls from Golds Gym. There will be a warm-up, karaoke, gimmicks, films, performances, celebrity interviews and plenty of cheering until it is time for the high point of the day, the race. Every day, someone will be nominated Fan of the Day.

Good speaker service by Kjell-Erik Kristiansen.

Impossible not to keep up
There’s no excuse not to be up to speed on the races. Whether you are Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish, English-speaking, German or from Jämtland, you’ll understand what’s being said. We are proud to once again present Kjell-Erik Kristiansen as our expert commentator at the races in Östersund. Name an Olympics or World Champs at which he hasn’t commentated... well.... can you? No, it’s hard to remember. The answer is easy - Kjell-Erik is the reigning champion in biathlon commentary anywhere in the world - come to Östersund’s arena and listen to the master.

And if you thoght that was all. We have increased the speaker team with Jesper Johnsson whose special mission is to meet with the coaches and athletes before and after. A glimpse of the feelings down on the shooting range.

New kids on the block. Almost.
Johnsson and Ekholm is the new team

members.

And if that were not enough, we have topped this year's team with a real insider  and if this man does not have the latest from the Swedish squad well then no one does. David Ekholm recently married with Swedens brightest shining female star is the new expert commentator. He will of course serve us with the latest gossip from behind the scenes filled with fresh emotional descriptions of what life is like as an athlete.

Amazing Widescreens

The arena also has one REALLY BIG widescreen TV. Here you can watch what the TV cameras capture along the trails and see what you would otherwise miss on the shooting range or along the trails. As a complement to this we have a score board, which continually updates the results as the athletes pass the checkpoints and penalty loops.

Familyway or the Highway

At the stadium in Östersund you can choose whether you want to buy a ticket for the stands or to the spectator areas in the forest. The forest area is right next to the race trails and here you get closer to the athletes whilst also having freedom of movement over a larger area. For families, a day in this area may well be preferable to a stands ticket, as there is plenty of space for the kids to play during the races. However, if you want more of an atmosphere and the smell of gunpowder, then you should choose the stands.

What could be better than a complete day at the biathlon stadium with your colleagues and friends, cheering on your favourites. We promise that your time at the arena will be something you’ll remember for the rest of your life, and that you will want to share with others.

Visit us at the stadium to discover all the other thrilling activities you can enjoy. With a cold nose but a warm heart, we welcome you to the World Cup Premiere in Östersund.

See you at the stadium!
